Young Women’s Trust run the Work It Out service free one to one coaching over the phone and feedback on CVs and job applications for all young women aged 18-30 across England and Wales.

Coaching is delivered by a team of professional coaches. Young women can speak to their coach for up to six sessions over the phone, on Whatsapp or by email. Young women can access sessions at daytimes, evenings or weekends. An interpreter service is available.

Young women say they feel listened to and supported in coaching, they start to recognise their own qualities and assets, which develops their confidence, self-esteem and resilience.

“I was in a stage in my life where I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and I was unhappy with my job. I was lacking in confidence. My coach gave me the skills to combat my insecurities and helped me see my strengths, areas I needed to work on, and the things I look for most in a career. She was incredibly kind and patient, I can’t thank her enough for everything she did!”Beth

Personalised CV and job application feedback is provided over email by a team of over 180 volunteers with expertise in recruitment. Feedback volunteers give highly detailed feedback to young women to enable them to improve their CVs and job applications.

Young women are often surprised by how thorough and personalised the feedback is. Young women say they feel more optimistic about applying for jobs after using the feedback service.

“I am so grateful for the time spent reviewing my CV and all the comments made. Not only did you help me take a look at my skills and experience from a different perspective, but also improved my self-confidence. I am now ready to apply for my dream jobs – thanks to you.”Karolina
