Joe Houghton, Partnerships and Communication Officer at Eden Project Communities has shared with us some details of this year’s Big Lunch campaign.
Usually, the event encourages communities across the UK to come together through street parties and events with their neighbours. This year the event is moving online.
The Big Lunch is about celebrating community connections and getting to know each other better. Now more than ever we need to make time for each other to strengthen those community bonds, but we also need to stay safe, so this year we’d like to get the nation talking over a cuppa and a bite to eat with The Big Virtual Lunch!
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Big Lunch veteran or a complete newbie, there are plenty of ways to join in the fun – online, on the phone or on your doorstep. Join the annual thanksgiving weekend for neighbours and communities and have fun with The Big Virtual Lunch on 6-7 June.
