Putting young people at the heart of your services
Published by the Foyer Federation, January 2020
In October 2019, The Foyer Federation took a group of young people, all of whom are currently experiencing homelessness, on a three-day residential designed to develop their communication skills, confidence and leadership skills. During the course of the residential, they were asked to share their views and experiences of the services they interact with and the Foyers they live in.
Based on this feedback, the Federation have created a series of recommendations to help amplify youth voices, develop truly youth-led services and deepen meaningful engagement with young people. They’re designed to help services in the youth sector to invest in young people in the most meaningful way.
