The question for the housing sector is how best to involve customers and this report suggests several actions and activities that help to do exactly this, leading to better decision-making.
The report emphasises that resident engagement must be genuine, and it must be acted upon, with residents having a real opportunity to influence the outcomes of key decisions and policies. Finally, this report recommends four major priority areas: easy sharing, rapid action, customer empathy, and to be an enabler, not a disabler.
